“Your case isn’t just a file — it’s your life. We treat it that way, and we fight like it matters, because it does.”
Peter T. O’Reilly is the founding attorney of O’Reilly Law Firm. Based in Charleston, Peter represents injury victims across the entire state, taking on insurance companies, trucking corporations, and negligent parties who try to minimize what his clients deserve.
Before founding the firm, Peter built his trial experience as a criminal prosecutor. He served as an Assistant Solicitor in the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Columbia, South Carolina, taking cases involving murder, kidnapping, drug trafficking, and felony DUI to jury verdict. As Richland County’s DUI prosecutor, he handled matters referred by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the University of South Carolina Police Department, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, and worked alongside the FBI, ATF, and the United States Secret Service on mass casualty investigations.
Peter later moved into civil practice, joining a multi-state firm where he litigated complex wrongful death, product liability, and workers’ compensation matters. After successfully recovering millions for clients, he founded O’Reilly Law Firm in Charleston to bring that courtroom experience directly to South Carolina injury victims.
His practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury — tractor-trailer and commercial vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation disputes, wrongful death, dram shop and liquor liability, and serious motor vehicle accidents. He has recovered millions of dollars for South Carolina injury victims, including an $18 million trucking settlement.
Peter is recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Stars honoree, has been named to the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40, and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum — an honor reserved for attorneys who have recovered verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more.
